Our Family

Hi my name is Serenity I am a mom to 6 really great kids (I’m not just saying that, they truly are) and one Amazing husband (not joking there either). We are like any family, we do have our days, but most of the time it’s pretty laid back. We are a conservative Christian family, but before you run away you got to know I’ll love you even if your a transgender agnostic. I enjoy people from all walks of life, I don’t care what your race, gender, religion, denomination, or belief system is, somewhere in something most people have a common ground. So if your ready to meet the family, keep on reading:

This is us, the original two in the family, in our equation 1+1=8. We have been married Since October 2001, He was 18, I was 17. We were just kids and things were rough as with any marriage, but it has been smoothing out quite nicely. My husband works to support us and I stay home with the kids and try to come up with crafty ways to sell things, btw I really suck at it lol.

This Was the first of my Clan, Ghost Eagle Boy  a nickname he’s had since he was little was given him because when he was little he would tell me if a bird was like the  F-117 Nighthawk it would be a ghost eagle. He has wanted to be a pilot in the Air Force since he was 5 and has always loved airplanes. He is now 13, Mom’s biggest help and has been in the Civil Air Patrol for a full year now.

This is our miracle child who came after two loses and we had to pray a lot that God would sustain his life. He had health problems from allergies we were unaware of for 2 years but is now strong healthy and growing way too quickly. He will be 10 soon and he’s almost as tall as big brother, only one pant size down. I call him my little Genius, not because he’s super smart but because he is studious and diligent and will spend the time to figure something out, along with he is a meticulous perfectionist lol.

This is our Sweet Rose, the first girl to be born on my husband’s side in 10 years. When I was little I liked the story of Rose Red, and so she is my rose red. She can be shy or outgoing, quiet and still or super loud and off the walls. When I think of her I think of flowers raining down.

And here is where our family took its first leap from normal. Our fourth Child, a witty hilarious addition who taught us the true meaning of “gluten free” it’s not just a diet fad it really does exist medically, what do ya know! This is my Baby Boy, my precious treasure who can outsmart the adults half the time and has one of the most loving temperaments of anyone I know..

And then came 5, Miss Squeekers (yes I know squeak is spelt this way). My wish of being a mommy of 5 with at least two of each gender was fulfilled. This one was dynomite! She really is a firecracker, She defines the term “baby of the family”  to the point where I knew if there was no more she just might end up more trouble then I could handle. So after 4 more lost pregnancies ( I have PCOS and was told at 15 I would not have children) I started praying, “God, can I please have either twin boys or a red haired baby girl? If you give me a red haired baby girl I won’t ask for any more” Now I know God doesn’t make deals, but I do know he answers prayers.

She was our Christmas present this year. Now I’m even. 3 and 3. My girls are perfect, dark as night, light as day, and red as fire. She is my little Storm, yet she is the quietest, calmest, most peaceful infant I have ever had. All the big kids adore her and she is greatly treasured, not even Squeekers minded the add on. I have thankfully not had to buy too much as people have dropped off clothes right at the exact time I was thinking of buying some. God really has been looking out for us, it’s been a pretty amazing journey. The last 15 years have been good to us, hoping the next 15 is great 🙂
